Marissa has a litigation practice primarily focused in Southwestern Idaho. Her practice areas include insurance defense, professional liability defense, and personal injury.

Marissa graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2021.

During law school, Marissa was elected as her class’s Student Bar Association representative, where she lobbied for her classmates’ interests and concerns. In her third year of law school, Marissa was also selected as one of a handful of interns for the school’s Family Justice Clinic, where she provided free legal services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence, child abuse, and elder abuse. In this position, Marissa was able to assist and handle all aspects of her clients’ civil case from start to finish.

Additionally, Marissa became a certified Guardian ad Litem, or court appointed special advocate, to represent foster children and advocate for their best interests throughout their cases. Marissa graduated with special honors for completing over 100 pro bono hours during her law school career.

Marissa is currently an associate attorney with Perkins, Mitchell, Pope & McAllister LLP. Prior to becoming an associate, Marissa worked as the firm’s runner, receptionist, and paralegal. When she started law school, she became the firm’s legal intern. Marissa was born and raised in Juneau, Alaska. After high school, she attended Boise State University and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with a minor in English. Marissa interned for two summers at Sealaska Corporation, an Alaska native regional corporation in the accounting and legal departments. During her senior year, she interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Idaho in the criminal division.

Marissa is a member of the Idaho State Bar and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Idaho. She is also a member of the Litigation and Young Lawyers sections of the Idaho State Bar.
