Bruce has been practicing law over thirty years. The majority of Bruce's practice is representing health care providers, including dentists and physicians. For years Bruce has been recognized as one of Idaho's preeminent attorneys representing dentists and professionals in the dental industry. Mr. McAllister's litigation practice has involved actions throughout the State of Idaho in both state and federal courts. He also has handled appeals before the Idaho appellate courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. McAllister speaks to local and state groups on legal issues affecting dentists, physicians and other health care providers. Mr. McAllister also has taught continuing legal education seminars for attorneys on issues within his practice, including insurance bad faith litigation.

Bruce grew up in Minnesota, and he received both his undergraduate and law school education from the University of Minnesota. After graduating from law school, Bruce and his family moved to Idaho. He was in private practice in Boise, served as a law clerk for the Honorable Dennis E. Goff of the Third Judicial District, and also as a deputy county prosecuting attorney. Mr. McAllister joined the predecessor law firm of Carey Perkins in 1984. In 1998, Bruce was one of the partners who started Carey Perkins LLP. Since that time, Mr. McAllister has maintained a litigation practice. Mr. McAllister's litigation practice at Carey Perkins LLP focuses on representation of dentists, physicians, counselors and Nursing homes. Mr. McAllister also has significant litigation experience in the defense of accountants and attorneys, product liability, toxic torts, real estate disputes, governmental liability, administrative law, and insurance. He also is versed in alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.

Mr. McAllister is a member of the Idaho bar and of state local bar associations. Mr. McAllister is "AV" Peer Review rated by Martindale Hubbell. Bruce also is regularly recognized as a Mountain States SuperLawyer. Bruce is a partner in the firm.
